Generation of Participation in Democracy
Sustainable Operating Systems
for Sustainable Futures
Public Benefit Mission. The Generation of Participation in Democracy (GPD) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity and non-governmental organization that leverages science, technology, and education to help groups enhance their autonomy, especially historically marginalized groups. IRS Employer Identification Number: 41-4992916.
Sustainability. In the GPD system, vibrant institutions are the rock on sustainability builds. Institutions play a vital role promoting participation by ensuring human needs are met. Enhancing participation could be a surprisingly sturdy bulwark against risk and uncertainty.
Education. Our agile educational practices put synthesis and application first, and exhaustive theory second. Education records and spreads the word why certain practices are more beneficial, and how to practice them. Education provides the foundation for invention.
Transparency. Meaningful democratic participation requires transparency. GPD operates under a principle of radical transparency for financial decisions and governance. True transparency in democracies requires an educated population that can analyze data quantitatively.
A Sustainability VIBE to Boost Participation
Our approach to boosting democratic participation is to raise the global Sustainability VIBE. That is, we create tools and systems to support Vibrant Institutions that ensure everyone’s Basic needs are met. Only when basic needs are met can people be expected contribute to Environmental protection. Future generations need a healthy environment for a good life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, free from excessive risk and uncertainty.

Instituto Dourados, our First Flagship Institute
Our first Flagship Institute, Instituto Dourados, develops and deploys public health systems in collaboration with Indigenous communities, integrating epidemiology, social science, and multilingual knowledge sharing.
Public health is one of the essential Basic needs for keeping up the sustainability VIBE.
